| We are a not-for-profit organization designed to provide you with free information and referrals to agencies that can help you. In addition to coordinating with other service agencies, AFL-CIO Community Services offer Food, Furniture, Clothes, and Rental Referral Programs. There are no eligibility requirements and no charges for the service or items received. |
Matches individuals who need furniture with donors of furniture. To access program, call or come into our office and request the items needed. All requests for furniture are processed in the order received. You will be contacted immediately when the item you requested is donated. You will need to come to our office for a written referral to give to the donor. Recipients are asked to pick up the items directly from the donors. If you have no form of transporting the items the agency will try and make delivery arrangements. There are no eligibility guidelines, and no charge for this program. DONORS: Furniture and household goods are donated and are tax deductible.
