The Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program is sponsored by AFL-CIO Community Services. This program began in 1983 with 25 families being adopted for Christmas that first year. |

This Program fulfills a Community Need. |
|
Christmas can be a very stressful time. For many people it is an especially more difficult time. If it were not for the many volunteers who make this program happen, many children might not know the joy of finding a present from Santa Claus on Christmas morning. |
|
The Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program is organized to help needy families and individuals, within the St Joseph area community, enjoy the Christmas holidays. |

Who needs the program? |
|
Each year the Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program receives hundreds of requests for assistance in our area. Last year, 2,460 individuals in our community received the spirit of Christmas sharing. |
